Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang masih sering terjadi di wilayah tropis, termasuk di Desa Sakay, Kecamatan Totikum, Kabupaten Banggai Kepulauan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam mewujudkan rumah bebas jentik melalui gerakan 3M Plus sebagai upaya pencegahan DBD. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan edukatif partisipatif disertai evaluasi pre-test dan post-test terhadap 62 peserta. Materi yang diberikan meliputi pengenalan DBD, cara penularan, dampak penyakit, serta penerapan 3M Plus dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat setelah penyuluhan. Sebelum kegiatan, tingkat pengetahuan kategori baik sebesar 43,5%, cukup 38,7%, dan kurang 17,7%. Setelah penyuluhan, kategori baik meningkat menjadi 88,7%, cukup menurun menjadi 11,3%, dan kategori kurang menjadi 0%. Kegiatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pencegahan DBD melalui penerapan 3M Plus dan diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan guna mendukung pengendalian DBD berbasis masyarakat di tingkat desa.
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a public health issue that still frequently occurs in tropical regions, including Sakay Village, Totikum District, Banggai Islands Regency. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness in creating mosquito-free homes thru the 3M Plus movement as a dengue prevention effort. The method used is participatory educational outreach accompanied by pre-test and post-test evaluations for 62 participants. The material provided includes an introduction to dengue fever (DBD), modes of transmission, the impact of the disease, and the application of the 3M Plus method in daily life. The results of the activity show an increase in public knowledge after the counseling. Before the activity, the level of knowledge in the good category was 43.5%, sufficient 38.7%, and poor 17.7%. After the counseling, the good category increased to 88.7%, the sufficient category decreased to 11,3%, and the poor category became 0%. This activity is effective in increasing the community's knowledge about DBD prevention thru the application of 3M Plus and is expected to be sustainable to support community-based DBD control at the village level.
