Penyakit diare merupakan salah satu penyakit infeksi saluran pencernaan yang menjadi masalah kesehatan di dunia termasuk Indonesia. Beberapa faktor utama meningkatnya penyakit diare ialah perubahan iklim dan sanitasi lingkungan yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor variabilitas iklim dengan penyakit diare di Puskesmas Pleret Bantul DIY tahun 2023. Penelitian i merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode Studi Ekologi. Populasi yang digunakan adalah data penyakit diare sebanyak 450 penderita, dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data variabilitas iklim dalam penelitian menggunakan data dari BMKG tahun 2023. Analisis data secara bivariat menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil yang didapatkan yakni curah hujan dengan diare 0,038<0,05 (berhubungan), suhu udara dengan diare 0,005<0,05 (berhubungan), kelembaban dengan diare 0,038<0,05 (berhubungan) dan kecepatan angin 1,000>0,05 (tidak berhubungan). Ketiga variabel iklim (curah hujan, suhu, kelembaban) berhubungan tetapi tidak berisiko. Sedangkan kecepatan angin berhubungan dan tidak berisiko.
Diarrheal disease is one of the infectious diseases of the digestive tract that remains a global health problem, including in Indonesia. Some of the main factors contributing to the increase in diarrheal disease are climate change and poor environmental sanitation. This study aimed to determine the relationship between climate variability factors and diarrheal disease at Pleret Community Health Center, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, in 2023. This study was a quantitative study using an ecological study method. The population consisted of 450 diarrhea cases, and total sampling was applied. Climate variability data were obtained from BMKG data for the year 2023. Bivariate data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test. The results showed that rainfall was associated with diarrhea (0.038 < 0.05), air temperature was associated with diarrhea (0.005 < 0.05), humidity was associated with diarrhea (0.038 < 0.05), while wind speed was not associated with diarrhea (1.000 > 0.05). The three climate variables (rainfall, temperature, and humidity) were associated with diarrhea but were not identified as risk factors. Meanwhile, wind speed was not associated and not a risk factor.
